Look for us on Desera - Tarek

Hello everyone! Today I'm here to happily announce that we might be on Desura (a Steam like sevice that helps indie games get alpha funding). Today I submitted a application to the service which is basically information about the game and if their is development on it. It takes about three days to go through the system then when it is approved people can fund the game, and also play the latest version of the game. I'm really excited if this works! If it is approved we will put full focus and force to the game we are putting on Desura. The game we chose to put up there as our first release is The Last Gladiator [title pending]. The Desura page of the game has a list of the features that will be put into the game. Even if it doesn't get approved I still think we should focus on publishing one game. Also here is some more game pics!

Here is one of the battle arenas in the game (desert themed)

Here's a story - Tarek

Hello Everyone, this is Tarek. Lately I've been working on the story for Player vs Zombie RPG Adventure. I plan for the game to have a interactive story in which you can change the ending of the game based on your choices. I've made a prototype story using inklewriter. The link to the story can be found by clicking on this LINK.

A little historic reserch - Yaseen's Post

Right now I am working on reserch for the romen glatiator game so it has more facts and so I can expand your story line as a glatiator. So I am at the library  doing reserch I hope this inspirers  you gamers to start reading. So your glatiator starts as a slave of war who was sent to Roma (or Rome) to work at the cole mine for the rest of your life. You shall play as a war prisoner for the first 2-5 minutes this time will be spent teaching you how to play the city life part of the game like how to walk around, buy stuff, and eat mini toast (YUM!). Maybe I will even add some free-running around the city sections of the game. But then your character "and you" with get tired of this 2-5 minute long life of boring captivity and start a rebellion and try to free the slaves. that is all I am willing to share with you (because I want hype)!

THE RUSTY MOBILE - Yaseen

I know I haven't been doing that much practically all I did was work on the Roman gladiator game and hog up all the fried onion rings. But now I am stating on a new game idea. A racing game with a twist. I know everyone has made a racing game where there is more then racing. Some companies add rockets to the car trying to make it more amusing but it’s the same thing everyone does and all you are doing is shooting cars while going in circles. But then smart people made up "build your own track". Or "track edit". But after a while a lot of people completely forgot about "track edit" So the next game I am going to work no is........The Rusty Mobile. So in the game you are a hobo that lives next to the world’s largest race track building company. You are so inspired that you turn your RV in to a race-RV. The rusty mobile then you start to go crazy and race agents other hobos for $200 the rest of your money. To win you need to edit your enemies track and yours. See no one has ever made a racing game were you can and have to edit your track while playing the game at the same time. I am also trying to make it so that you can play with your friends online until that get ticked off and rage quit on you.

So here's the concept for the concept art (Yaseen's post)

So inside the gladiator game their will be two views. Their will be the map view (Birds eye Zelda style) and action view (2d platformer view) accept you don't platform and jump, but fight. The character's will look like this except pixlated.

Finally... It's time for the Gladiators to step in - Yaseen)

I know The Gladiator Game hasn't exactly  been in the lime light. But I have made big improvements ,and I think I can introduce it to the web site. The game play is fun and originally. Basicly  you walk in world mode, then you stumble upon an enemy  , and the screen will change into a side veiw of the battle. So, you have to apply some skill instead of  just pressing an attack button and leveling up for battle.

I need a little break - Tarek

Hello everyone, this is the GuysWhoGameAlot with some updates on the Random Game Pack 1. I've been working vigorously on Player vs. Zombies RPG Adventure. I have added sound to the game so the game won't be boring and soundless as it used to be. I still need to add music to the game, but I haven't got the time yet to make or look for free non-copyrighted music. I've also added swords (sword singular) to the game which makes killing zombies easier. Also I almost forgot to mention that I made the enemies destroyable making my zombies more purposeful. I still need to add AI to the enemys since hitting them doesn't seem to aggrivate them.

Since that is the only game I've worked since the begining of the project I've decided to take a break from the RPG game and work on some more simpler arcade games. So far I have started two games Pong Reveloution (a four way singleplayer pong game) and Tank Time (a tank multiplayer game).

Until next time.

Player vs. Zombies RPG Adventure (Dungeons!) - Tarek

Hello people of the internet! I'm here to give you some updates on Player vs. Zombies RPG Adventure. Obviously from the title and pictures I've added dungeons (actually dungeon singular) to the game. In these dungeons you will find loot and enemys enemies. So far all that I have for the dungeon is a buch of scattered coins and invincible mindless zombies wich just stand there and don't defend the treasure. What I hope to add to the dungeons in the game are chests with loot (weapons, potions, coins, keys, etc.), missions, bosses, and maybe even som easter eggs.
You might have already noticed that I add a coin counter display. Before the coin counter only went up to the double digits, which would causes problems if you got over 99 coins. I expanded it so that it goes up to 9999 wich caused way less problems in getting over the limit. The only downside to the coin display is that it kida hogs the screen. It is okay now, but what would happen when I add a health bar and an XP bar? I could fix this in a few way. I could stretch all of the objects and tiles, but that could take a while. I also could only make the coin display appear when a coin is collected, but that would still be a problem. What I'm most likely going to do is add a backpack/inventory system, where when you open your backpack it shows your coins and the stuff you collected.
Another thing I'll metion before ending this post is that I added dirt paths for the upper world. I hope to add villages and stores to the game, but I'll probably work on them after the health and invincible zombie thing is fixed. Until next time! :)      (:

Player vs. Zombies RPG Adventure - Tarek

This is the semi-official name for the RPG game within the the Random Game Pack 1.

Some Forms of Art - Yaseen/Tarek

Since minor progress has been made on the games game-wise, I decided to show you some art from the Random Game Pack 1.
A village from my brother's Roman Gladiator Game.

Zombies from my RPG game in HD if I wanted to put effort in making some decent sprites.

A potential opening screen for the Game Pack.

A prototype werewolf for my RPG game.

And that's it. Hopefully more in game pictures will be given when more features will be added. Also plan to make videos if the game pack becomes alpha instead of "Sketchy, sketchy sooper alpha prototype show off concept game thingy."

Hello People of the World!

Hello people of the world! This is theguyswhogamealot here telling you that we have just made an awesome blog on blogger! Also I'm here to tell you of our first official game project, which we are unofficially calling Random Game Pack 1. Yes, I know it is totally not unique, but I want to at least give the project a name. So in the Random Game Pack 1 or RGP1 there will be six small bite sized games. Why small games, you might ask, well who wants to develop a cool huge game in seven years when you can make six perfectly legit small games in 1/10 the time. My brother (a extremely talented pixel art guru) and I (an art challenged idea filled programmer) decided to split up the RGP1 so that both of us make 3 games. We decided to have a bit of friendly competition and individually make the games without help of art or programming. The screenshot you see above is my game art for one of the games I'm going to make. This all the information I'm willing to give right now, so goodbye.  :)
